Dr. Ned Calonge
“Federal Health Care Reform Explained”
Ned Calonge, MD, MPH, is the President and CEO of The Colorado Trust, a grantmaking foundation dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of the people of Colorado. He is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado, Denver, and an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health.
Nationally, Dr. Calonge is the chair of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and a member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Task Force on Community Preventive Services. He is the chair of the CDC’s Evaluating Genomic Applications for Practice and Prevention Workgroup, and is a member of the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children in the Health Resources and Services Administration.
Dr. Calonge is a member and past president of the Colorado Medical Board, which licenses and regulates physicians,
is a member of the Delta Dental Foundation Board, and chairs the LiveWell Colorado board. Prior to joining The Trust he
was the Chief Medical Officer of the Colorado Public Health and Environment Department. He is a graduate of Colorado
College, the University of Colorado Medical School, and the University of Washington Public Health School.
